Payment and cancellation policies

General considerations:

Hotel D’Lucia offers comforts in our rooms such as: Wi-Fi, air conditioning, fan, hot water, flat TV with cable and our rates also include typical breakfast from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Our hotel also has a swimming pool for our guests and visitors who pay for the day pass.

  • Room check in time is 12:00 noon, check out time is 2:00 pm. However, Hotel D’Lucia can do everything possible to accommodate guests before or after the officially established time, when requested by a guest, and it does not represent a problem for new income or for the timely availability of rooms.
  • Hotel D’Lucia offers 20 standard rooms. All our rates are for two, three or four, for each room, in addition, the published prices are subject to 13% taxes, which will be applicable at the time of payment. For each additional person there will be an additional charge of $20. It should be noted that an additional charge of $120.00 is made, which will be applied in case the client decides to smoke inside the room.
  • All direct reservations require full payment at the time of reserving the stay, reservations whose payments are not made immediately, are subject to cancellation without prior notice, agency reservations may be subject to special conditions, please consult our department of reservations for more details.
  • Payments are received in colones or US dollars and can be paid with Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, JCB, Dinners Club International, regarding direct deposits, bank transfers and Sinpe transfers, these must be previously arranged with the hotel, as well as proof of bank transactions must
  • The dates of each season may vary from year to year.

Payment Policies:

  • Payment: All reservations, regardless of the season, require full payment to be confirmed.
  • Guarantee: All reservations require a credit card to guarantee space.

Cancellation policies:

  • Cancellations must be made in writing and sent by email to reservaciones@hoteldlucia.com, in addition, all cancellations must be confirmed as received by Hotel D’Lucia, to be considered valid.
  • Refundable Regular Rate In High and Low Season: Cancellations requested 5 days before the arrival date are free of penalty. Cancellations requested between 4 and 0 days before the arrival date are subject to a penalty of 100% corresponding to the total amount originally paid.
  • Refundable Regular Rate In Peak Season: Cancellations requested 60 days before the arrival date are free of penalty. Cancellations requested between 59 and 0 days before the arrival date are subject to a penalty of 100% corresponding to the total amount originally paid.
  • Non-Refundable Rate: Refunds are not applied under any circumstance, however, there is the possibility of modifying and maintaining a usable stay credit for the following two years, except in Peak Season reservations, Dec. 20 – Jan. 03.

    Reservations where the booker does not show up, decides not to use the room and/or decides to leave early are non-refundable, regardless of the season.

Additional considerations:

  • Our rates are valid from the date of publication, they are subject to change without notice. Reservations already confirmed and paid are exempt from any rate change.
  • Prostitution and exploitation of minors is not allowed in our facilities, for this reason, guests who do not respect this policy must leave the property, without any refund being implied.
  • FORCE MAJEURE CLAUSE: Hotel D’Lucia is exempt from liability for the non-execution of the agreements specified in this document, caused directly or indirectly by any circumstance beyond human control, however, it will give the option of re-booking, as long as there is availability.
